Legendary Folk and Blues club
Gerde's Folk City and its legendary owner
Mike Porco
were inducted into the New York Blues Hall of Fame
along with
Richard Manuel, Garth Hudson, Dave Van Ronk, Hubert Sumlin, Erik Frandsen, Garland Jeffreys
and a host of others in a star-studded ceremony and concert
at BB King's Blues Club on 42nd Street, NYC.
The things I forgot to say: I'd have to live 811 years to catch Mike Porco in shows. Folk City had personality. That person was Mike Porco. |
